The countdown is on to the biggest tournament in football.

The 2026 Fifa World Cup kicks off in June, and ahead of this, there is excitement around what kits the teams will be wearing.

England and Scotland's home and away kits are out in the shops for people to buy ahead of the tournament, but some people aren't happy with their prices.

The junior replica England shirt costs £69.99 while the junior Scotland shirt costs £55.

The price for an adult England match shirt has increased by 8% since Euro 2024.

The most expensive top released for that tournament was £124.99. Now it's £134.99. That's a £10 increase in two years.

This year, the England younger kids' replica kit (up to age 8) with the shirt, shorts and socks is £54.99.

If you're a little bit older, it could cost you just over £100 to get the full kit.

The full Scotland kit for children aged 7-16 will also cost just over £100 - that includes the socks.

A full Scotland kit for younger children is £50.

The 2026 World Cup will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The opening match will take place on 11 June 2026 in Mexico City, with the final set for 19 July in New Jersey.

Scotland's first match will be against Haiti in Boston on Sunday 14 June. The game kicks off at 2am UK time.

England will begin their campaign in Dallas on Wednesday 17 June against Croatia. The game kicks off at 9pm UK time.

Wales and Northern Ireland are still trying to qualify.
