What is the Women’s Super League? The Women’s Super League, or WSL, is England's top football competition for women. It is just like the Premier League, where 14 teams play each other twice during the season. The team with the most points when the season ends is crowned the champion! Last Season’s Highlights: Manchester City won the big trophy for the first time in ten years, beating Arsenal by four points. They managed to stop Chelsea from winning their seventh title in a row! It was a huge shock and has made everyone excited to see what happens next. New Teams and Big Moves: This year, we have three new clubs joining the fun: Birmingham City, Crystal Palace, and Charlton Athletic. They worked hard to move up from a lower league called the WSL 2.
